The aim in this 6 week term is to spend time sketching and painting in the grounds of the museum, and to hopefully introduce people to the concept of keeping a “Visual Nature Journal”, a lovely way of improving drawing and painting skills whilst deepening our connection with and love of nature.

Cost $100 (Materials included)
In this workshop you will learn all about and experience the method of eco dying and contact plant printing. This is where plants (in this case mostly native plants) are used to create colour and imagery on paper or textile.
You will complete a silk scarf and a small book form, plus other experiments on cotton and paper. You will also learn the skill of simple pamphlet book making to complete your book form at home when dry.

All you will need is some method of taking notes for future use, an apron or old shirt and your lunch.
