John Williamson Noble, the author of the 'Fergus The Ferry' books will read three of his books to the children. Parents and children can meet the author who will also discuss writing and publishing for children. An exhibition of Fergusthe Ferry original illustrations by Peter Townsend and rough drafts of the books will be displayed.
There will be a colouring in competition where the children will be given pictures from the Fergus the Ferry website and pencils to colour in on the day. Small prize for all participants, pictures will go on display. This will be held on the ferry and is a free event.

Discover the plants and animals of the seagrass meadows, mangrove forests and intertidal mudflats in the Currambene Creek Mudflats Sanctuary Zone, as well as the cultural significance of this area to local Aboriginal communities.

16. BUSHTUCKER WALK AND TOM BROWN EXHIBITION

Normal park entry fees apply for walk or exhibition.
Take a walk with traditional owners of the Booderee National Park and Botanic Gardens and hear about how traditional bushtucker and medicines were and still are being used today.
Also the stunning shell artwork of Tom Brown of the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community will be on display from 10am until 2pm at the Booderee Botanic Gardens.
Additionally Tom Brown will be exhibiting his works on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of June at the Botanic Gardens from 10am to 2pm.

The Jervis Bay community celebrates the importance of the Humpback Whale's northern migration. Community members, school leaders and students from local Public School will help create "A Sea of Whales Tails" Cut out and colour, decorate your tail, everyone can place a whale tail at the Moona Moona Creek Park Reserve on Friday morning and be part of the art installation.

'MURRAWADEEN' (Sunrise Ceremony) - THE MAMARIKA PROJECT
Moona Moona Creek Reserve
Decoration of the 26 foot catamaran "Mamarika", by youth and others from the Dharawal & Dhurga communities, which will be drawn up onto the sand where aboriginal images representing the culture and environments of both the Dharawal & Dhurga (NSW South Coast) people and Anindilyakwa (Groote Eylandt) people, will be rendered onto the hulls. One week later the boat will be recommissioned with ceremony.

Hear individual artists play solo work plus the Jervis Bay Collective Band play folk. Come and enjoy the celebration and closing of the 2010 See Change Winter Arts Festival.
