JOY BYE
At present [2007] I am studying for my MVA at Sydney College of the Arts.
I am a practising artist working in both ceramic and oil painting mediums.
After completing a BA and Dip Education at Sydney University I taught for a number of years. I have studied fine arts with Deakin University. I completed advanced creative painting at St George TAFE. I have a Diploma in ceramics from Gymea TAFE. I have exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions. In my work I am exploring childhood as an Eden like place and time.

VICKI ROBINSON
Vicki has been pursuing the various expressions of nature through the medium of drawing and ceramics for most of her life.  Growing up in a semi rural environment in northern NSW allowed for exploration and self discovery of the spiritual side of nature, and the ever changing relationship of form, light and colour between the sea and the land.   Her formal qualifications include a Diploma of Visual Arts in 1979 and a Bachelor of Arts in 1983 from the Sydney College of the Arts. She also holds Certificates in Ceramics and Surface Treatment and Design.   Vicki currently teaches at Nowra TAFE and is and Education Officer at the Arthur Boyd Trust property at Bundanon.  Her involvement at Bundanon has also included  artist residences, which have been vital to her current work.

GRAHAM BRENNAN
Graham has been making art on the South Coast for many years and is heavily involved in the local art scene. Recently turning 60 Graham prefers to sculpt or make installations from interesting recycled materials. Graham's skills as a Carpenter and jack of all trades allows him to turn something useless into a work of art. Combining his painting with an intuitive mind he creates lights that can change the atmosphere and ambience of a room.  Much of his work is inspired by major events and the special people in his life each work having it's own story to tell.

SHIRLEY DRURY
Living in Currarong Shirley uses the rich diversity of the flora, fauna and landscape of the Crookhaven Bight as her main inspiration. In a variety of media her works are characterised by vivid colour and movement, capturing the spiritual essence of the Australian coastal experience in its many moods.

ROBERT SIMPSON
Robert has worked as a professional artist since his first exhibition in 1977 and has continued to represent his work Australia wide and as far as Edinburgh. Robert’s paintings expose the relationship between man, nature and objects of human occupation, with dependency balanced against continuity. Robert’s clever compositions are amplified by his sensitivity to colour and depth.

JUDY van der HAVE
Judy’s lives with her husband at Culburra and has been painting and drawing for many years.  She holds an Associate Diploma of Fine Arts, a Bachelor of Arts and Certificates in Fine Arts, Colour and Design and Art Foundation.  Exhibiting regularly throughout the Shoalhaven Judy’s use of colour brings her painting skills to life.  Judy draws inspiration from her quiet association with her chickens and abundant vegetable garden.  She is also a brilliant drawer which is evident from her portraits of family and friends.

KYLIE DOUGLASS
Kylie is currently completing her Diploma in Fine Arts in Wollongong. Living on the South Coast for most of her life she continues to study and work in her studio daily.  She holds High Commendations in Ceramics and Drawing,  and Certificates in Surface Treatment, and Manufacturing and Engineering (Casting). She exhibits along the South Coast on a regular basis as well as being heavily involved in the arts community and Curating group exhibitions . For the past 18 months Kylie has been collecting and carving the giant  Cuttle Fish Bone which have become popular along South Coast Galleries.  At present she is focusing on  drawing and printmaking,    where she composes small and disciplined pencil and ink drawings to large, quick and intuitive charcoals.  She has also obtained a large commission of 40 works for the second year running which this year focuses on the Snowy Mountains.

Helen Nugent
Helen Nugent studied at the National Art School (Dip. Art Ed.) and worked as an art teacher in school education for 34 years. She left school teaching to pursue her interest in visual art, remaining involved with arts education through the TAFE system and as a consultant, presenting workshops at Bundanon and Meroogal House for example.

Helen Nugent's images reflect an enduring interest in drawing the figure. She often uses distortion, idealisation or even caricature as an expressive device to explore aspects of the human condition and the natural world. Travel to exotic locations has yielded a rich range of visual ideas for images exploring human foibles, strengths and eccentricities.

Helen's practice includes a range of media. Rediscovery of printmaking while learning the viscosity technique has been her field of exploration in recent years.  The beautiful textures, patterns and colour effects achievable in collagraph printing combine to afford enjoyable and thought provoking images. She is now revisiting etching, while painting is becoming a more important focus.

Alison Mackay
Since moving to the Jervis Bay area about 5 years ago, I have made the time to focus on creative pursuits - writing, photography and most specifically painting.

My main interest is in still life compositions using acrylic and/or oil paints, however I'm currently enjoying exploring different approaches to image creation such as etching and monotyping.
For See Change 2006 I'm exhibiting a series of chicken portraits based on my own chickens and those at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Bob & Lynne Dixon
Sanctuary Point artist Bob Dixon is a contemporary painter well known in Shoalhaven art circles. For the past twenty years he has staged a number of one man shows as well as being involved in many group exhibitions and arts festivals. His paintings are often provocative, from his early expressionistic work to the more abstract pieces in his current output. His wife Lynne is a potter working mainly in earthernware, in strong coloured glazes and also in subtle black and white designs. The team works in a family workshop at their home in Sanctuary Point.

Neroli McCusker

Neroli is a new exhibitor to Seachange having moved from Canberra to the coast two and a half years ago.
About 8 years ago she took up painting but with full time work and no permanent studio many months would pass with out picking up a brush. Since retirement & moving all this has changed.
However the childhood years of drawing everything in sight have paid off in strong drawing skills which are essential to painting.
She is currently undertaking a Visual arts craft design and drawing certificates at Nowra TAFE which she enjoys and is now adding formal education to her self taught experiences.

Alison Chiam
I use my art as my medium to capture fleeting imaginary experience that cannot be conveyed in conversation.  I love colour and shapes synergising to create an unusual energy emanating from what seems to be ordinary objects.  I use colour expressively and push boundaries of realism to create an often-surrealistic landscape, which reverberates passion, warmth, humour and innocence.
I hope to allow my viewer to experience the ordinary events of life from an unexpected and extraordinary perspective.  My goal is to let the viewer see the world a little differently, a world where the ordinary is never dull.  I am inspired by shape, form and rhythm of a composition combined with fleeting imaginary experiences.  My subjects are from my life experiences, my journeys and observations in Jervis Bay, my travels around the world and of course my imagination

Wayne Pryor
Doodling with intent during a meeting in the boardroom or experimenting with colour and the Jervis Bay landscape, Wayne enjoys expressing himself through sketching, painting and woodcarving. His interests in the outdoors and a strong connection with water and the marine environment have inspired much of his work. He manages to squeeze time for his art in with a busy family life and does not take his art too seriously. Normally into black and white sketches rendered very quickly, he has recently been experimenting with watercolours which has slowed his approach and created a more contemplative style.

Pat Campion
Pat has been signwriting and creating original paintings for the past 32 years. Her works are easily recognisable for their vibrant colours and individual style.
The natural beauty f Jervis Bay provides an endless source of inspiration whether it be seascapes or nature and exotic flowers - the frangipani being the most sought after.
Pat likes to work with acrylics on canvas(no need for framing) usually on a larger than life scale.
Commissions are always welcome and Pat will help you with sizes and backgrounds colours etc.

LEACANNON
As a practising Artist I qualify myself through art and enjoy the journey of the process. I love bringing past/present and present/future together culminating a totality of ideas and themes.
Processing childhood experiences and bringing them into the here and now is a favourite theme for me. Replicating themes through painting, drawing and printmaking to hand onto the next generation if very satisfying. Hopefully it generates a universal message evoking and prompting the viewers on their own unique journey.

JO-ANNE SOUTHORN
Jo-anne’s and her husband Neil have a farm at Forbes in Central Western NSW where they operate a Murray Grey beef cattle stud and a home at Greenwell Point on the coast near Nowra.

Jo-anne has a Graduate Diploma and a Masters in Applied Science (OH&S) and has been studying art (her first love) at both the Western Institute in Orange and The Illawarra Institutes of TAFE where she has been fortunate to study under internationally renowned artists. Frequent travel around Australia and overseas has provided the opportunity to study first hand many ‘masterpiece’ artworks, architecture and cultural icons.
Her style is expressionist/post impressionist, taking her theme’s from nature and contemporary life. Jo-anne views strong drawing skills as a requirement for her painting and printmaking. She has her own press and has a personal hands-on attitude to doing all her printmaking work herself including editions.

Karin Smith
I was born in Germany, migrated to Australia as a young adult and married a professional photographer. This relationship and photography studies through TAFE have  provided me with an eye for detail and creativity. I have since traveled extensively throughout as a professional Tour Manager, giving me the opportunity to capture  the beauty/mood of Australia
I now live in a stunning local natural environment and my work reflects my fascination with the contrasting moods, reflections, colours and patterns in the Bay and Basin environs and beyond.
The images displayed are taken with a Pentax ist D-Digital SLR camera and are not digitally enhanced

Warren Wilson
Warren started taking photographs semi-seriously whilst serving with the Australian Army in Malaysia in 1967. He retired from the military in 2005 and is now able to pursue his passion for photography on a full time basis. Both Warren and his wife, Yolande Cozijn, are regulars on the Huskisson cafè scene having maintained a holiday house in Vincentia for many years. In 2009 they decided that the hectic life of Sydney was all too much and settled permanently on a small property in Woollamia.
Warren turns his camera to most areas of photography, however he never ceases to draw inspiration from the birds and other wildlife of the Jervis Bay area. He also has a passion for travel photography, particularly the animals, people and culture of East Africa and India.
Warren has had several solo exhibitions both locally and in Sydney and has exhibited as part of the regular programme of exhibitions conducted by JBB Arts Inc.
